Another Ape Install
Well finally finished my second ape install. I put 10" mini apes on the stock riser last year and finished the riding season with them. But I hated the look on the stock riser which is a topic that has been beaten to death on this and the XL forum. So....back to the drawing board. And...here it is with new 12" narrow apes, shorty risers and remounted speedo. I drilled and internally wired the bars. My buddy also machined me a custom tank lift which gave it a nice look. I still have the same riding position as I did with the 10" apes but it sure looks a whole lot better.

Yeah just ordered single gauge holder from Debrix cycles. Got the parts for the warning lamps from Chicago H-D. Piece of cake to install original speedo in new holder.
