what should I do for stage 2?
Where do I start? 2008 Sportster 1200 custom. I have completed the stage one upgrades- new slip on -d&d exhaust, SE air cleaner and fuelpak. I am having engine work done under warranty. The service manager called me and said I can upgrade to screamin eagle rockers and other things for 300.00. The labor would be free and the parts would normally cost 600.00, but he would do it for 300.00 including the download. Isn't that stage 2? What cams should I get? I just don't know what to ask for. Give me some advice please. Thanks!

It all depends on what "other things" you are talking about. If it includes cams its prob worth it just for that. Cams are a personal thing, it all depends on what you are trying to build. What type of engine work is being done?
Go to a web site like zippers or someone who offers entire kits and see what they are including in them. It might help you understand what all is involved. I also think there is a sticky about the different stages.

also depends on what you are trying to do with the bike... for me the pipes, sucker and fuel management were right on to make the bike run the way i expected it to. next step was to make it better for 2 up and road use. so the seat, shocks and gps hook up were next for me. then removable bags and windshield. also wanted it to ride better so i added the front fork stiffener and wanted to be seen and heard, so added the lights and upgraded the horn... here it is road ready (and within 5 minutes it is convertible to round town)--\
yes, this is a sporty! :

Sounds like a good deal to me and hopw you like the way it runs when you get it back. Not sure the download will help since you have the fuelpak. With cam's and rocker it would be wise to step up to the SERT and a nice dyno tune to get the most of the mods and make sure the bike is running right.

Nice bike! I went to the Dealer and they are putting in cams and rockers. They did a oil pump when it failed, and the dealer stepped up and warrantied the pump. They called me and said they are also going to replace the cams, rockers and lifters. Hard to pass up 300.00 for the upgrade!
Either one of these cams would run about $265 so $300 for the whole package installed is a great deal!
