Start w/service manual & some tools so you can get familiar w/bike & not run to home store w/every project. For your seat dilemma - can get stock one modified for 1/3 price of new @ Mean City Cycles (MCC). Double mem foam mod works well...check out their work...http://www.meancitycycles.com/
I am looking for a better seat. I went for a two hour ride, and boy does my *** hurt. Any suggestions on where to get a good seat?
Get yourself a Sundowner seat, you be able to ride that baby all day long. That's a Sundowner seat on my bike. Keep in mind that it will put you about an inch closer to your forward controls, that's if you have forward controls.
