Need some knowledge please
I have a shot at getting a new set of vance and hines short shots cheap, the problem is that they are for every year 86-03 sporty except my 98 1200c (and the 883c). I called v&h and the guy i talked to couldn't even tell my why, he said he thinks it's a bracket issue. Can some one with experience help me with this please. 
yeah, go to www.vanceandhines.com and look up your bike with straight shots. You can see that they have extended the brake pedal away from the bike and replaced the straight brake rod with a bent one.
Your brake pedal, in its stock set up, will interfere with the front pipe.

Thats what me and my buddy thought. The guy i bought the bike from ordered the bike with middy's and i put the cheapy custom chrome ones on there and they have an adjustable bp and I'm thinkink about saying f-it and put it on there anyway and see what happens. For the price I have to at least give it a shot, right?
