I purchased one last week. On the website, it says a minimum of two weeks to procees the order. Has anyone purchased a licks spring seat recently? If so, how long did it take to come in?
That's probably because I think they make the seats in house, along with the bags and other leather items, that's why it may take a little longer than normal.
The Licks Spring Seat I bought was a West Eagle Seat. Most of the ones I have seen from Licks were the West Eagles.I bought mine about 1 1/2 yrs ago .May be something has changed.
Here you go bro. This is the Licks Kit on my 2010 Iron, just a all white seat. The only thing I did was change out the springs from 2 to 3 ". You can see the cover I made for under the seat. You can also see I fell victim to mreeds fender chop thread as well.
Thanks I got that idea from your 7 part you tube series.I took the things I liked from several different builds on here and you tube and put them on my bike.Beautiful Nightster By the way.
Everything all nuts, washers, springs, rear and front mount, seat ,everything you need to install. Except the frame cover underneath which I made.I only changed out the springs from 2" to 3 " .But if you call Licks they will give you the 3" springs at no extra charge. The hardest part of the install was trying to get the nuts tightened on the rear mount and seat if you use the 2" springs.A very high profanity install. The coils are wound so tight you cant get a wrench or any tools in there to tighten them. You have to stick some thing in there to open the coils up a bit. Screwdriver wrapped in cloth than turn it side ways a wedge of wood etc. Some thing that wont scratch. The 3 " springs give you a little more comfort and none of the head aches with the install.
