So, I'm browsing around the forum, and I keep seeing the ad for the Visormatic. So I visit Licks website and check it out. It says it fits "most" 3/4 helmets. Thats pretty much alll it tells you. Looks like it has three tabs on it. Can't really tell how it goes on or how strong it is. Has anyone purchased one, and if so, what's it like? I have a Biltwell 3/4 helmet. Just wondering.
not to thread jack here, but where in arkansas are you from rob? and what color biltwell do you have? I just moved to Little Rock so maybe when the weather makes up its mind on what it wants to do we could go ride if your close by, i also wear a biltwell in the winter too. But its way too hot to wear one during the summer, im sure you know this though.

I'm in Jonesboro. I have an aunt that lives over by the deaf school on Markham. Her husband rides also. Maybe when it gets a little warmer. Have you ever ridden over to the Wild Hog Rally in Helena? That would be a pretty short trip for you. Last weekend in April I think. I think they have a web site. Wild Hog Music Festival I think. Check it out. We go most every year.
I have one in my 3/4 helmet and coulnd't be happier! Unless you've had one in your hand, you can't pass it off as a piece of plastic wrap. This shield is polycarbonate (lexan) and is fog proof and scratch resistant just like most of your eye glasses today.
This shield suites me for a couple of reasons, A) I wear eye glasses that are smaller and don't offer much protection. I can wear my glasses under the shield with no problems and I am not forced to wear a set of goggles. B) I have a few 3/4 helemets and I have noticed that most of the newer ones only have three snaps at the top of the helemt. So that leaves out the flat 5 snap shields, not to mention if I wanted my entire face covered, I would just use a full face helemt. Most bubble shields are not polycarbonate and distort your vision when you look through them. Licks has excellent customer service and I bet the would be happy to accept a return if you didn't like it.
don't waste your money. you might as well put some plastic wrap in front of your face!
just curious and wondering when u tried one out to base this opinion .....being I have ridden with our proto for 2 years and won't wear anything else. Not just saying that cause it's our but cause it works. A piece of plastic over ur face would be something like u
pick up at ur local mc shop. U know 5 snap shields fo $20. This it is not. Just saying...
i got a transitional one for my Davida ninety one.
I need to wear glasses when riding and this works a treat. Opticicans want a fortune to put my perscription in decent wraparound shades.
It may not be some peoples cup of tea but it stops my face been blown off on the highway, allows me to wear my glasses and i love the retro look. i would def recommend it.
Im not affiliated with Licks but have always received great service from them, even from here in the UK.

Does it work ok with the Biltwells? And is there a smoke tinted one offered?
