i have an 2011 Iron and for some reason my gas light keeps comin on at half tank...any ideas what the problem could be?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys.
I recently started tracking this (last 8 fill ups) and I do go by the gas light. I consistantly need to 2.1 - 2.5 gallons to top it off.
a) average distance = 79.71 miles
b) average fuel economy = 36.68

Call your dealership & take it in for warranty repair - sensor's probably bad...
I have an '08 XL1200C and took it in for warranty repair. The dealer couldn't find the cause, but they said to wait for a download. Took my VIN number and said if there is a fix for it, they would contact me after the 24-month warranty expires.
I go 100 miles before adding more fuel to a fuel tank. The low fuel light comes on and off at 70 MPH after a fillup. Other than that, it works okay, but I know the low fuel light comes on around 120 miles after a fillup.
