my son some how ended up hooking his battery up wrong and tried to start it. Now the bike is hooked up right and everything is dead. Is there a fuse for the ignition and if so where is it located? Thanks in advance

What year sporty is it? I know on 07'+ (and I believe at least 04' to newer too) there is a 30amp "Maxifuse" that is located under the battery cover next the battery. That is the system fuse and the first thing I would check. It is in a stand alone case....pretty big too.

Battery cover should have a list of all fuses and what they do.

I was going to suggest the same thing...check the maxi fuse or main fuse if you r bike has one. Yes it should have a separate fuse for ign.

It was the maxi fuse by the way I found a partial sportster service manual on google books .com
