Leather chaps and also have a pair of leather overpants for colder days. The dress pants I wear to work are paper thin. They would provide no protection if I ever went down.
you could get a pair of chaps..easiest/cheapest is get a pair of wide bottom carpenter jeans a few sizes big and a belt..easy to slip on and off, protects pretty good.. probably cost you $15 at wally world
I wear some Walls bib overalls (they're like Carhartt) that I bought at Farm and Fleet pretty cheap. They're pretty tough and stand up to the wind really well. Easy to get into and out of.
I'm in the same boat, but not as short LOL! I have a pair for LBZ free style MX pants and they block alot of wind and keep the dirt off. When I ride to work i try to ride on dress down days so I don't have to have diferant outfits and all that stuff. maybe a nice pair of workout pants would work for for you?
Work in a call centre have done for like 6 years winter riding Hein Gericke over clothes 2piece not leather keeps warm doesn't crease my clothes and full hip knee shoulder back protection. Summer Over clothes body armour over sized sports jersey and press stud thin tracksuit bottoms. But make sure you got the body armour for summer if you come off ... And not wearing it more fool you. My 2c ^.^
firstgear overpants are good. they have removable liners.
they wont cover your shoes. you might consider chucking the boat shoes and wearing boots. most cube-farms don't care as long as you aren't wearing spurs/spikes or some other nonesense.
