Default Wiley X + RX

I got tired of cheating the hangman . I'm OK on bright sunny days & local roads but street signs needed close inspection & besides my eyes need to be in sharp focus to see those occasional nasties in the roadway before i'm on top of it , ie: a chunk of metal , construction debris , glass , nails , pothole etc...
In my fork bag I had all kinds of eyewear , prescription glasses , clear over glasses , tinted over glasses , goggles . Goggles on top of glasses are very uncomfortable after a short distance .

With all that being said , I got off my lazy cheap a$$ and bought some "Wiley X , transitional , prescription eye protection "
Sure they were $400 but now I can eliminate having to deal with multiple pairs in my bag sans 1 emergency set of clear safety glasses .

My local shop even allowed me to try on a pair of Wiley X & jump on the highway to see how they worked before spending all that jack .

I like cheap 10 dollar sunglasses,they last several years,and for 10 bucks,no bigge if I lose/smash/scratch them.

for night riding,I get clear safety glasses at the hardware store for 3-10 bucks.same thing, they work just as well if not better then the specialized riding glasses that cost $60 or more.

I tried the auto darkening, after a year or two they stop darkening..

Im with you on that one
The day I spend $95 on a pair of glasses is the day I leave em at the bar or they get broken

I've been wearing a pair of Oakley wind jackets:

Swapable lenses, gaskets seal out the wind, and a removable strap. Comes with a case, so properly taking care of them isn't that hard.
