Default Mini tach help needed, instructions lost

I'm helping my dad yank some parts off his 2006 1200C before trading it in (Night Rod Special). He had them install a mini-tach when he bought the bike (different dealer) but he doesn't have the instructions. I added a mini tach to my Dyna but it was wired the old fashioned way with splices and his looks like it *might* be a simple plug-in installation.

It appears that the wire bundle for the tach goes down and around the left side of the bike and plugs into a connector just behind the left downtube. The wire bundle also splits and goes under the tank. Is this wire bundle only for the tach? Is there a simple plug under the tank such that this whole wiring harness is easily removed?

Or, is this a spliced installation and the guys just did a great job of making it look like factory wiring?

Or, is the bike prewired and this harness isn't part of the tach kit, but rather I just need to tuck the wires out of site after removal.

We won't have much time tomorrow to pull parts and I don't want to waste time getting under that tank to find out where that bundle leads. If it is spliced, we'll probably just leave it. The goal is just to make sure I remove what came with the tach so we can sell it and the buyer will have everything they need. So if anyone can shed some light on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
Kevin
