Thunderslide?
recommend the Thunderslide because of the very small difference compared to "normal" rejetting and
the quicker throttle response, which can cause some strange behaviour. The perception I got was that it is better
to rejet only....

My idea now is to install Santee slip-ons (Equal to SE but cheaper, according to the stealer), SE air cleaner
and change the main jet. Is it a good idea?
Maybe I would have to order a dynotest at the same time, probably a good idea, since I don't
have the black belt in rejetting..
Short answer: Any way will work as long as you get the A/F ratio set right.
I've done jets only, have a DJ kit in one bike, and the T-slide in another. They all work well. I do think there is a little quicker throttle response with the T-slide but admittedly, that could be perception only. Besides, even if it does, there isn't much use for it daily driving except for racing to the next stop light.
