bought a pair of X14ieD's from Nightrider and installed (I have a statge 1 XL1200C - 2007). I cranked her up with the the bike not starting (but the starter cranked). After trying four or five times, I saw smoke coming out from under the seat - the pos. batt. terminal melted off - completely.

I got a new battery - checked all the wires from the batt to the starter/ground and all are tight and it all worked fine, started right up, sounded great.

Today I started it to move it, went great, then tried to start it and move it back about 2 hrs later - the starter cranked but she didnt start. tested both sparkies and no spark. I pulled the coil and I think the coil is fried. I would hate to think the X14's had something to do with it, but I find it too concidental. Anyone else have similar issues or heard of this?
