I just ordered these risers for my Custom XL883C. Looking at them and looking at my setup on the bike, I don't understand how they'll go on. Hoping it comes with really good directions relative to my Custom. Anyone put them on, and if so, are there other items I'm going to need such as longer cables?
Don't want to pop your bubble and maybe i am wrong but, did you notice they don't fit XL883C.
"Replace OEM NOS. 56122-77 and 56124-77, the stock risers on FX and XL models 74-up (exc. XL1200L, XL883/1200C), FXR, FXRS, FXRT models 82-94, FXWG models 80-86 and FXST models 84-up"
the previous owner had a set of 4 inch ones on the and they were used with a set of flat bars and he managed to hit both sides of the tank
with the bars denting it ... so be real careful if your bars have no lift in them to clear the tank ... good luck.

I saw that, but under the "Fitment" tab, the bike is listed (??)
Here's a solution. Not cheap, but they function and look nice.
Pick a base clamp from this page. The 604026 should work. http://www.retrocycle.com/CustomChro...Page_1237.html
Then, pick the appropriate top piece that holds your speedo. It needs to be straight off the base clamp so your speedo isn't at a funny angle when it's all assembled with your pullback risers. Perhaps the 604007, but I'm not sure if it's straight or at an angle (in relation to the base clamp). It'd be best to check before ordering. http://www.retrocycle.com/CustomChro...Page_1236.html
Shop around. There are other CCI (Custome Chrome, Inc.) distributors.
