I just purchased the same seat for my 07 883 low. It also has some small wrinkles. There is no evidence of rubbing the tank that I can see. I like the seat so much better I am not concerned.
I purchased a Mustang Solo (12.5 wide) at the end of last riding season and didnt get a chance to test it out till recently. What a difference! I have gone through so many seats and I should have taken people's advice from the start and bought the Mustang. Now I can ride and not even think about my butt.
I wish I had known this beforehand. This could've probably made the difference.
