Mag Wheels
I currently have 16x3 wire rims front/rear on my 02(wide glide front end) and wanted to know if the AMF Mag wheels 40987-74 a simple swap? The ones I might get are very similar to these:

I have a single disc up front, don't know if that makes much difference. I've searched the sportster forums here, XLforum and googled the crap out of this and haven't found anything definitive. I know they are an older wheel and the bearings might not be right but I'm more concerned with bolt holes lining up.

The bolt holes on the wheels in the link you posted will match up but your rotors and belt pulley are HUB-centric. That means that they are centered on the wheels by the center hub or bearing register. The register on any wheel that uses a tapered wheel bearing will be too small to do the job. You can overcome this by purchasing pre 2000 brake rotors and belt pulley but you'll be money ahead by finding the appropriate wheel. A wheel that has sealed bearings.
