Well, in Europe V&H with standard baffles are illegal! So, i installed the quiet baffles. Still loud but definitely deeper sound, no problems with the police for the moment

Mmmmmm been told by harley dealer, pipes here in the uk would pass a MOT (yearly road worthy test) but he believes over the next year it's going to get harder to pass these pipes (because of EU rules)
I think I'm after deeper rumble than loudness,

@iron916
33 bucks each! Seems really cheap, cheers for the heads up

I love my pipes. They are loud and I like it. Stock pipes might as well be silent. You cant hear them when u r riding. I had a new download installed for $150.00 at the stealership when the pipes were installed and the screamin eagle a/c was put on. No problems with this setup. A little cracklin once in a while but she will run like a banshee! I have thought about putting quiet baffles on but have read that the sound is not that much different. I have also gotten a ticket for having loud exhaust down here in south florida.

I just installed mine tonight as was a bit suprised at how loud they really were. I couldnt help but wonder how loud they were for everyone else lol.

May be a bit too loud for me though. How much do the quiet baffles actually quiet them down? It seems like not a lot. I fell like with what I got I am going to be "that guy" who is obnoxiously loud. If I had to rank the sound on 1-10 scale I would put them at a 9 with the stockers at a 2. Whats the QB take that down to?

The quiet baffles will take about 3-5 DB's out of the sound. However if you get a set put them in and take the bike for a long ride get the baffles nice and hot. You will notice a big change afterwards especially at idle and cruising speed down the highway. I put a set in for a friend and he couldn't be happier.

So are you saying they only work on longer rides when they are hot, or that they need to be broken it right off the bat?

With my stock pipes I was at a 2 out of ten. With these id say I am at a nine. I'm trying to get down to a 6, maybe seven....

No the motor needs to be completely warmed up and you will hear the benefits. A hot motor and pipes sounds quieter....you can't judge the baffles on cold startup.

I figured thats what you meant. As is they are too loud for me. I had some friends listen as I road up and down the street and they confirmed they could hear me even when they cant see me... I just dont want to buy the QBs and have them still be too loud - it sounds like they dont quiet them down much.

I may need to find something else. I am open to a swap with someone looking for SS...?
