Yeah it will work as a back rest, but looks like crap-like and after thought. I mean if your were to go that route you might as well just get a normal sissy bar as it would look better and be stronger.
Ahhh the haters I ordered one and got 15% off as well. Easy on/off and my lady won't be clinched to me all day long when it's 95 degrees out. The more I stared at sissybars the more I disliked them. All personal preference.
