I keep my registration/insurance card in my jacket pocket. I used to wear a "coach" fanny pack type bag, but I started wearing chaps and it got too bulky. I don't use a wallet - just carry 2 credit cards, $20-$40 cash and my drivers license in the interior jacket pocket.

HD has wallet like bags that hook onto 2 belt loops - maybe that's an option.

You can always make photo copy of both onto one paper (or shrink it). I'm not fond of it being stored on my bike as it has my info. on it.

I have the Licks solo bag and put the Harley saddlebags lock on it. I was keeping papers and garage door opener in there but the local cops told me that is safer to keep it on me because if the bike/bag was ever stolen they would have my address and enough information for identity theft. Now I have a small leather Roots bag that I wear around my waist- it holds my wallet with the insurance and registration for both bikes.

The ends of my handlebar grips unscrew and there is a stash tube inside of them. It is the perfect place for insurance and registration.

Ziploc bag under the seat is where it used to be, but doesn't work as well with the new seat so in a stash tube now, but i always keep copies in my wallet.

Here's what I did.

Go to your local hunting/sporting goods store. They will have a plastic zip lock "sleeve". It's used for hunters to put their hunting license in. It's thicker then the zip lock bags and smaller.

Then get some Velcro. Put a "chunk" of it on the back of the plastic license "bag" and then take her battery cover off and put the other side of the Velco on the inside of the battery cover.

Now the documents are always with the bike.

I put them into a small ziptop baggie so they will stay dry. I used to put them in my front pants pocket before every ride since I don't ride every day, and then leave it sitting with my bike keys/helmet/etc when I got home. I recently got smart and put it in the inside zipped pocket of my Jacket which always goes with me when I ride..
