ok your point taken...but that doesnt mean it makes my bike worth less..i have an easy 2000+ in addons..i know some people would rather do it themselves but there are also people that would take the addons into consideration...just like i did when i bought it from my cousin..i paid him 10,000 for it in april..he had som of the stuff added on already..i could have bought a single tone 1200c for 9995 from the dealer at that time but it wasnt otd for that price..i figured it was worth the 10000 for the addons and taxes and all other hidden prices..so i added alot more to it put some miles on it andd want 1,000 less..
Well I think we've pretty well established prices will vary depending on what part of the country you are in. So it is hard to judge your asking price when, speaking for myself, I only have my local economy or eBay to compare to.
If in your part of the country a comprable new one is going for over $11K -- then I think you are pricing it for a decent deal at $9K.
Good luck man. I hope everything works out for you.

thanks for the comments(actually i mean everyone who commented)..as for ebay goes i would never use that for a price comparison..reason being is everyone browsing and bidding on ebay are looking for a good/better deal and dont want to pay the real price,as far as cars/motorcycles go.dont get me wrong i love ebay but i think its only good for hard to find things or parts..i would never bother listing my bike on ebay for that reason..and the prices definitly do vary from state to state...
Well I ended up buying my bike for $7300 from eBay...So I can't complain at all. It's a 2005 XL1200C with SE II's and a crash bar already installed. It had 1160 miles at the time. So I can say that eBay isn't necessarily only for finding parts cheap...My bike was sold thru a dealership locally, with the balance of the factory warranty...BTW, do you think it would be worth renewing the warranty before it expires? The bike now has 1800+ miles and should soon be going into hibernation for the winter. I'm a newbie, so any opinions would be appreciated.
If the bike runs good and has been checked over by the dealer, no need to get the extended warranty IMHO. Instead, put the money aside in a "Fix it" account and use it for bike related needs, such as chrome, chrome or more chrome.
