Hello!
Just picked up a new 2011 orange 48 on Friday. Put about 200miles on her this weekend. traded in my first bike which was a virago 250. heh. This 48 rulz.
I've been looking though the forums but really trying to find a few things to do to her. I want a K&N (or similar) filter, but want to maintain the stock "1200" cover. Can I just get this? Is that just a direct swap out? It's so cheap compared to what I've seen on the web for the sportster..
Also, I'd like a solo bag. The cheapest I could find is $119 on ebay. for a leather .. bag.. but I need something for bunch of small stuff.
Those are the two first things I'd like. any other mods or basic stuff I should do, please toss ideas or experiences.
I have the same bike - I bought the Lick's solo side bag in distressed brown! I love the bag, very useful to carry small items. (not big items) I bought the bag from a group discount with Licks, and paid $165. Hope that help!
cool man! anything els you have done to her?
btw, that same part# for that K&N is $42 shipped on amazon.
It seems like I have to get gas every 50miles or so. i run it kinda hard and around town. but when I go to put gas in, i can only fit about 1gal in there.. weird.
How are you guys moving your plate up next to the frame and vertically? Right now mine is horizontal and can fold up against the bike, but i'd like it not to stick out so far (and be slanted vertically)
thanks!
