And after doing that, if you stand the bike upright (the bike's normal operating position) and check the level again, I'll bet you find it measures at the FULL mark.

Oil running back into the motor is a sign of the check valve in the oil pump not working the way it should, which allows your tank of oil to run into the crankcase and fill the bottom of the motor.

The remedy is to fix it. A new ball and spring, and seating the ball in it's opening so it will seal against "sumping".

A motor crankcase overfilled with oil will damage your bike very quickly.

I agree with JohnnyC, there is a risk from having about a quart of oil in the crankcases. That is not good and I would hesitate to start it up. Do these things have a drain plug? (Mine is only a few weeks old so I haven't had to check such things) If so I would see what comes out, put it back in the tank, then start it.

A jiffy satnd is a stand that is attached under the bike. You put it down and pull the bike back. And the bike comes off the ground. A kickstand is some thing the bike leans on.

Atleast that's what I have always been told

The thing your bike is parked on is called several things. Jiffy is one, side-stand and kickstand are other names for the same thing.
