So, someone gave me a set of Z bars for my 883R, and I like the looks of them.....and I think I'll like the handling...
I do not trust the butted welds on the bars though.
They look fine, but, I'm just not the trusting type.
So, I decided to do some brackets out of 1/8" mild steel for the corners to strengthen them up a little, and I just up and ran with it...
Right to left- Blank....drilled so I can get my jewelers saw blades through....cut but not filed or cleaned up.
I'm going to have these welded in the corners, then have the bars powder coated black.
Lemme know what y'all think.

You need medication if you don't trust the bars' welds....
Even if they broke, which is a BIG if.... Just hold the fork tubes and apply the brakes and call the wrecker service. You have officially lost your mind.
