2000 sportster
i just bought a 2000 883 sportster. it has 32,000 miles on it but had the 1200 conversion done 8,000 miles ago. it has forward controls and alot of chrome some pipes, screaming eagle air filter. i paid $2500 for it. i think i got a great deal. i just looking to see what i should do to it.

With my 2000 1200 after a few phantom shut downs I went over all the elec conections I could. Cleaning them pushing them back in tightley and coating with Di-electric Grease. The bat cables are just long enough to be conected at all my local shop sold me a - cable from a fat boy, a little longer, that helped far as install goes and gave some slack from all the vibs that go on with that Scoot.
All this might have been done changing over to 1200 but you got to figure its 12 years old or so checking / grease wont cost that much and is pretty easy.
