Other than wearing a backpack, what are some of you Sportster guys using for a little storage while you're out on your bikes?
A lot of people seem surprised that there isn't a small compartment under the seat.
I don't know if I like the looks of the big leather saddle bags on the sides of the rear, but what about a small pouch on the front under the headlight?
Just kinda seeing what my options are. I would really only need space for maybe a water bottle and a couple other small items.
Thanks!
(I have a 2010 Iron)
Get yourself a " HOOKER"! - - and no, you do not need permission from your wife to have a HOOKER -- check it out at Willie & Max. Cost about $20.00, and if you do not have a passenger you can strap stuff onto the back of your seat with a cargo net.
I love my HOOKER, and my wife laughs when I talk about it!
I have a fork bag for some tools and my paperwork. Using some kinda small saddle bags to carry a p-pad and gloves, night glasses, and other stuff. Still keep room for other stuff or I leave the p-pad home for more room.
On my former 05 Sporty I had two fork bags...one in front held gloves, glasses, registration/insurance, cell phone, etc. One in back (over lay-down license mount) had tools. Never had a need for more...
I have a touring bike that holds everything we need when we go out of town but my Sportster is my solo bike and I usually just use it for day trips and I have a Lick's Solo Bag on it.
