The bike is almost exactly the way i want it now. It was cheaper this way than to get a nightster and swap to a 48 front end, fat tire, forward controls, low slung speedo etc. No regrets!
Agreed. I like the fat front end of the 48, but not the limited range of the small tank.

I think your bike looks awesome with that tank. I have a 48 and am considering doing the same. I would just have 2 tanks. One for longer trips and one for around town. IMO it's a pretty easy swap
Yeah buddy! Looks real nice man. I have yet to see a bigger tank on a 48. Looks good. I mean, obviously the smaller tank looks better, but its all about form over function, right? Looks good man.
Thanks all for the comments and opinions! The differing opinions is actually one of the things i love about the sportster, it shows how many different directions you can go.
