Almost jumped ship.
The touring bikes were SO BORING I couldn't stand it. Sure, they're comfortable, sure they have plenty of amenities, and the radio is nice, too. But I like to be thrown back in the saddle by acceleration, and wind, and those bikes just weren't doing it for me. There was one however, that put a giant *** grin on my face every time I twisted the right hand grip. The vrod was the only bike I continually went back to again and again, and every time I rode it I forgot about all the other bikes.
It is WAY more comfy than a sporty, better for a passenger, has VERY nice rigid saddlebags available, which I can R&R in 10 minutes, eats up bumps and dips in the road like they're not there, and HAUL'S FRIGGIN' *** like you wouldn't believe.
I love my Sporty, but I haven't been on it three times all summer since picking up the V in May. In fact, it's now at Kundratic Kustoms being turned into a proper chopper.
I think I'm just not yet at the age where a tourer/bagger is for me, but I'll get there eventually.
