Default missing on accel
07 Nightster with 26K experiencing "missing" while accellerating. Becoming more frequent. Thinking fuel delivery. Gonna try Seafoam tomorrow.

CEL lit?

Did you check battery connections to ensure they aren't loose?

Check the spark, it may be weak. Fuel delivery will cause a lean condition, and is usually found across the RPM range. A bad spark or improperly gaped plug can easily cause a high RPM misfire.

Pulling the plugs and inspecting/gapping them would be a good start.

I replaced the plugs shortly after this condition started. At first it would only do it once or twice when cold. Now its more like 5-10% of the time when I start to get on it.

my new 48 with 500 miles has already missed once or twice when ive punched it ?? who knows with all the electrical bullshit on them these days , id sure like to know the same thing..

Some events such as misfires, need to happen a certain amount of times before they will trigger a CEL.

I don't know how HD ECUs work in this regard, but on many car ECUs, a misfire has to occur with a certain frequency before the CEL is triggered. Until then, the misfires are logged as "pending" codes which can be read with a scanner, but they will not trigger the CEL until the code is elevated from pending, to a legit error code.
