Default Clutch or Primary Or Tranny??? ahhhhhhh

so I went out for a ride the other day... & realized that my clutch was shifting tight, when I engage the clutch to shift it was hard, when I was down shifting it was engaging... but very hard on the clutch pedal.... while stopped I was in first gear & realized that the sportie was slowly inching forward even though I had the clutch lever pulled. now.... heres the kicker... IT POURED that afternoon & I ended up riding through some big puddles... what the hell do I do without going to a dealership, can this be diagnosed on my own.

FYI, Ive put over 4k on the bike this summer

If this thread is confusing.... sorry.. Imagine me trying to explain... Im a chef for gods sake

What year bike?
How many miles on bike?
How many miles since the clutch was adjusted?

Do you have tools and a Service Manual?

Sounds like it's time to adjust the clutch and change/check the primary/trans fluid...and lube the clutch cable at the same time.

Inching forward when you have the clutch lever pulled in means either there is too much slack in your clutch cable, or your clutch may need adjustment.

I'd verify the cable is adjusted properly, and if its still exhibiting the problem, then go take a look at the clutch adjustment (with a service manual and tools at the ready).

Was this a sudden condition, or progressively worse?
Does it shift fine when cold and get worse after the bikes heats up for a half hour?
Is there any unusual sound? If so does the noise get more noticeable after the bike heats up? Can you describe the sound? Where is it coming from?

Ok. Last night I used mr delboys vid! I adjusted the clutch cable, lubed the cable, changed primary fluid, changed the oil & adjusted the clutch... Gonna take it for a ride tonight! it did well when I spun around the NH last night.
