I have 7,000 miles and mine and it has never leaked a drop of oil. Leaking used to be normal, but not now. You have a two year warrenty. Take it back to the dealer and get them to look at it. What have your metric bike friends been telling you about HD bikes? Did they tell you HD was the "dark side"?
Really? I thought I had a leak and wound up being nothing but a fuel over flow issue be cause I dumped the bike.lol. My buddie has a 1200C and had a oil leak when he first got his and hasn't had a problem since. I have been around Harleys since I was 9. They are not your typical ricer bike. A completely different animal. Get it fixed and you won't have any other issues.
thats is normal on a new bike what you see leaking is the assembley lube they use to put the engine togetheir with mine did the same thing it looks like a oil leak but its not just clean it off and recheck it
