One of our sponsors, Cee Bailey's, offers windshield restoration service for $50.00.
CAUTION: polishing can be done on acrylic (Plexiglas) windshields. If your windshield is polycarbonate (Lexan), it likely has a protective coating on it which polishing will destroy.

^^ I purchased a few things from harley and If they do not work I will post. well I will post up either way. Ill find out how these windshields should be cleaned. I also bought some "SCOTCH BRIGHT" microfiber towels.
Cleaner #1:
I dont think the shield has ever been cleaned. What ever the brown stuff is is not comming off (or out of the pores). It does look a lot better already tho. Ill wait a few minutes before trying a spot with the fine scratch remover.....
Polish #2:
Just applied it and now wait for it to dry..... ... ... .......
Ok round one did NOT work, Id say save your money on the cleaner and the polish.
Im just put more polish on again and will let it set over night. It will be tuff to remove but thats my last option with this polish.
The cleaner would remove the spots but it took more elbow grease. I think water would have worked just as well. The good side of the cleaner is it claims to be anti-fog, thats a huge plus
The only thing I have ever used to clean my windshields is warm water and a microfiber cloth, followed by wiping dry with micro fiber. No soap, polishes, etc. Has always worked great, no problems.
All you need is a can of Lemon Pledge with a microfiber cloth. Cleans my windshield with ease as with my helmet shield. I also spray it on my black powder coated engine and it looks like new after. I wipe my entire bike down with Lemon Pledge.
usually to wipe is to use a micro fiber cloth bc of others wipes would contain contaminants. hope you were able to get the ws looking ok for your buyer. wish we saw this post earlier and could have helped more =/
but your great for going above and beyond to try and fix it for someone.
I toss a wet towel on mine... Let it sit while I wash the scoot allowing the big-jizz to soften up. Flip the towel over and wipe-good as new.
Have to try the pledge thing... Probably makes cleaning it much easier the second time
I keep aircraft plexiglass window cleaner in my saddle bag every evening when I am through riding I take a wet wash cloth on the bugs before they set-up and get real hard. Then pull my aircraft windshield cleaner out and polish the windshield. Should be able to find some at Sporty's aircraft supplies online and or some flight centers will have different kinds of plexiglass cleaner polish.
Don't use anything with ammonia in it on the plastics it will make them haze over
