Default cam choices aka i need opinions

i'm about to upgrade my iron 883 with a 1200 kit. i figured since all this would already be open anyways then i might as well get some cams. i just don't know what would be a good choice. i don't plan on doing any extra head work, just want something mild that will compliment the 1200 kit.

what does everyone think?

1 - There is no need to open the cam chest when doing a 1200 upgrade.
2 - There is little gained vs the money invested in doing cams without headwork.

I've owned Harleys since the 70s but am only recently a Sportster owner. It seems strange to me that with big twins we routinely mess around with cams and there are dozens of options, but with Sportys that is not so. Must be that they have better cams than big twins? Dunno, but I have learned that cHarley's words are right!

NRHS keep coming up when 1200 conversions get mentioned and a pal has one of their kits on his Buell. Give them a call and see what they suggest.

Yeah not much of a point in doing cams unless you are going to open up the heads. The stock sporty cams are not bad at all and most are still running them and making good power.
