Ok guys, I've not been very active for quite some time. Anyhow, I've got an 06 XL1200C that I bought used 2 years ago. It came with some cheap Cycle Shack drag pipes, which I loved when I lived in an apartment complex because my neighbors really pissed me off. Now that I'm a more "mature" homeowner, I have decided that after I get some new shoes on it I need to aim for a new exhaust system.
I'm leaning towards a 2-into-1 system, specifically Vance & Hines Blackout. But, I just feel that it would look absurd to have black pipes and everything else chrome. My big question is, should I spend the extra $10 for chrome Python exhausts or, the one I'm kinda wanting to do, add on other bits of black to make a sort of "night and day" or whatever kind of theme.
I found a black end cover for the Arlen Ness Big Sucker breather I have on it on DK for like $50. What are some other bits that, provided this is the route I go could be easily swapped out with black stuff? When I get a chance I'll post a picture of it as it is now.
Am I an r-tard for even THINKING that black/chrome would look good? I don't think so, but I could still be one...
just looked at the V&H Blackout today actually, I love the looks of black & chrome, if you see a 57 chevy that's black and dripping with the shiny stuff don't you get a little teary eyed? same thing...lol Best Wishes. -Joe
