I've been lurking here for a 2-3 weeks now. At 49, I'm very new to motorcycles.
My first experience was about a month ago. I took the beginning motorcycle safety class at the Ricky Orland Motorcycle School. I used a 125cc Suzuki in the class. After getting the endorsement on my license, the first bike I drove was a 97 883 converted to 1200cc (for about an hour), then I tried a Honda Rebel ( 2 minutes). After test driving a few bikes for a few weeks, I decided on a Sporster.
This past Friday, I bought a 1996 Sporster XL1200 Custom.
Just thought I'd say, "hi."
