Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am 44 years old, I just got my Motorcycle license, did the Rider Course for 3 days and then took the DMV test. Although I am new to riding motorcycle, both my parents were riders, so I have ample memories riding as a passenger with my dad as a kid... My mom had a Triumph my dad a Norton, however my first bike is going to be a Harley Davidson, the Iron 883. I have read a lot about it, I know "some" think of it as a girl's bike, but frankly it is the one that appeal to me the most regarding of the engine, and the reason I decided on a Harley. I like the understated approach and the minimalist design not to mention the upgradable path. I also feel that 883cc is more that enough for a first bike... I'll be using my bike for my daily commute which is a fairly short distance from where I live (about 15mn).
