Default Super Tuner

I did a quick searck and saw plenty of people asking about super tuner vs. fuelpak or pwr commander.

BUT my question is if I have a super tuner installed will I need to take the bike in for a remap.

I had new heads, cams, and the supertuner installed at the dealer and they tuned it for a break in period. I've hit the 500mi and I wonder if I can remap myself now or need to take it in for an inital remap before I can play with the maps.
