I'm looking at bikes on ebay and keep seeing 883's. would it be worth it to buy one then get the 1200 conversion? i heard they are faster after the conversion then a stock due to gear ratio.
the stealer I called (so i dont void anything) said 3300 dollars for there job they recomended a new AC, dyno tune, the power commander and the cylinders plus new pipes (3300 included cost of vance and hines straight shots) so 3300 at chandler HD

$3300 should get you a Very fast sportster if you spent that kind of money at any Indy shop compared to the Stealer!
The MoCo whould have to prove what went bad to voild your warrenty.
Hell, NRHS has 1250 kits, cylinders included, for $700.00. You can bolt it right on!
BUT it does NOT include the the heads though. You reuse your 883 heads. Kind makes it an apples to oranges thing. I believe it costs more once you add the 1200 heads.

In THEORY, yes. They can void your warranty and you can fight it. Reason? You made the bike do something WE didn't design it for. BTDT with my cars before. Again, they can deny and you can fight it but is it worth your time?
I go by a simple rule. You mod, no warranty. If you can't live with that, don't mod.
