Default Removing clevis?

My mid controls are black and I have a chrome clevis (?) coming off the brake allowing the black diamond peg to be mounted. How can I remove the clevis for powder coating?

A little info on your bike would be great, as different bikes/years have entirely different mount/attachment options.

If its like my forward controls on my 2010 48, there is a C-clip snap ring on the end that you need to pop off and then the clevis comes right off.

A 'C' clip will come off with a flat screw-driver blade, however they can also travel a long way if they break free! Smother it with a handful of cloth, so when it springs off you capture it. I wouldn't use bare hands to do that!

A dentist's mirror makes it easier to see the cir-clip.

+1 on having the right tool for the job. The snap ring pliers can also save the ring for reuse by only opening it enough to remove. Using a screw driver usually distorts it.
