Question Risers + riser extensions?

I want 3" risers to slap some Superbars on, but the only solution I'm finding are the Drag Specialties Buffalo risers ($90) + Buffalo top clamp, ($60) or Covingtons Customs risers ($150). The D.G setup is 1.25" and looks alright, but the Covington's would probably look the best, they just don't leave anywhere to attach the dummy lights.

Then there is the 2" Joker Machine ($130) as seen here: http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/.../0603-0266.jpg and some of DK's 1" extensions. ($25) Both the DK extensions and the Joker base are .890". I really like the looks of this riser/ Is there any issue stacking parts / tolerances like this on Harley 1" drag bars?

No matter how you slice it it's gonna run me $150 just to get that extra 1.5" without extending the stockers which I don't care to do. I did find some $70 chrome dome risers, but they were pretty skronny at the taper and I'd have to powder em, etc.

With the speedo moved off to the forks and 2" tank lift, the triple trees are pretty exposed so appearance will matter. Opinions? I just can't bring myself to go 3.5" risers.

Tought one Jack. Lots of options and variables. Almost all of it is personal preference. What are you doing for the headlight? If you're changing it you might want to check out this thread by FlatIron. Pretty kool way to mount the dummy lights and that would then free you up to figure out which of the risers you like best. Maybe.

Thanks man, I actually ordered the Joker risers with DK extensions so we'll see how it works out / looks.

I had planned on doing what he did with the dummy lights, but found out that I needed the brow off of a custom. Turns out, I could have just ordered the bezel he mentioned there at the bottom that I hadn't noticed before.

Since I already ordered the Joker filler plate that fills this void, and got risers that will perfectly accommodate a zip-tied solution, I will try this first. If I don't like it I'll buy the other set of dummy lights. Another issue is that with 1.5" taller risers, I might not be able to see that area as well as I can now.
