Default NOOB handlebar controls adjustment

Gents,
I adjusted my handle bars a little more forward. Now my controls tilt down and I want to adjust them back to horizontal.
The T bolts there need to be loosened, adjusted, then tightened back? Is there anything Im gonna screw up if I attempt this? I am not trying to rework the whole control situation, just angle them up, so I do not plan to unscrew all the way.
I have the Manual and I read it. I have seen fixmyhog for my Sporty. I have learned a lot from HDForums.com.
Thanks in advance

It's pretty easy. Just loosen the screws like you mentioned and twist. I frequently adjust mine. Just be careful and make sure the wires stay in the dimples and don't get pinched.

I got it done today! Thanks.
All I needed was the T25. geeking at the manual I thought I saw a T27 there too, but in the garage i figured it out pretty quick. sorry for the NOOB question, its my first Harley.
I'm liking the higher hand position. It feels very different.

Congrats. If you can do that job without messing anything up like I have countless times, you should be fine to do any other cosmetic modifications.

Thanks,
feelin proud right now....
First thing I did was install Progressives. Then I painted my air cleaner cover with silver pinstripes to match the stock paint. Then I slanted back the license plate. Then moved the front signal lights from the handlebars to the forks with a clamp kit. Now raising up the handlebars and adjusting the controls.

Whats next?

Better Mirror situation
Sell the saddlebags and get a bikers friend bag(advertised here).
Amber LEDs on the chrome to go with the Gold/Silver look of the Harley "Live to Ride" that I have on the gas cap, mirrors, air filter emblem, sissy bar(when attached), and the soul of the bike.
Oil change and brake check.
Paint the horn cover to match the air filter cover.
etc..........

I have forumed for many of my past autos. '63 Chrysler 300 J, '77 El Camino, '04 V Star, even my Nissan Truck. This Forum and its members are great!
