I know that they can be removed sorta easily if you know what your doing,,,,,,, but just bring it to a speed shop if you have one in your area.... it may cost you about 200 bucks or so to have them rmeove the baffles and rejset if needed........ and tested......
The baffles can be removed, takes about 15 minutes and a 13/4 inch hole saw. I did mine, and had no problem with it. Sounds good, I have gotten many compliments on the sound of my scooter. The only thing, is it would pop every now and then on decel. Plus the bike ran cooler, by letting out more exhaust. I finally did the Stage 1 with SE A/C and the download, and I still run my stock mufflers with the baffles removed. Just an option for less.
I used a 1 3/4 inch hole saw, attached to my 3/8 electric drill. I then sat behind my bike, lined up the drill, and began drilling. Once you drill thru you will need a pair of pliers to wiggle the baffles and pull them out. Look at it like this. Just like drilling a hole into a door, for a lock to go in, cept its metal, oh yeah, make sure you get a metal hole saw bit. Not sure if on made to drill wood would work very well.
screaming eagle pipes from harley or vance and hines slip on's. i talked to the dealer and he said don't have to remap with screaming eagle's but you do with the vance and hines although i think he was just trying to make the sale. everybody else say's you dont have to remap with either.
