I did not, but the oil should be settled so it should still drain.....it should still drain more than a quart at least.....It seems to be fine now, as the level is correct according to the dipstick.....

When you drain the oil, it empties the oil tank and not the motor.
It settles in the case not the oil tank. Thats why you didn't see much when you drained it. You should of got the bike up to operating tamps before you drained the oil..........

WTF? so how does bringing it up to Temp make it drain the motor? I guess Ill drain some out then. Thanks!

There will always be a small amount left in the case when you change the oil, no matter what. But yes, you should definately warm the motor up good before doing an oil change. Go ride long enough to get the oil up to normal operating temp, park it for 10 minutes or so, then drain it.
