I just finished rebuilding my 2000 Sportster. While I had the bike apart I also replaced the cam position sensor (couldn't get spark on rear twin). This seemed to fix my spark problem.
Now, I am seeing a whole new problem, I cant seem to get the bike past 4000 rpm. It kind of bogs down. What is the best way properly adjust the cam position sensor? It seems to run best when the dial is turned all the way clockwise.
I also tried to adjust the main carb needle height to see if this made a difference, but it didn't seem to. Right now I have the e-clip set on the 3rd notch from the bottom. At first I assumed it was a problem with the needle because the bike idles perfect. No problems until I go to accelerate.
