PC-V install location? MAP comparison?
I need to take some pics, but I installed my PC-V meticulously, and in the best possible place I think it could be. This places the harness inboard with USB connection to the back of the bike. The unit rides on top of the battery, toward the front corner just over the pos. connection. I even cut a perfect notch for it in the plastic wire harness cover, about 1/2" forward of the battery. This allows the unit to ride more inboard and forward of the battery, so as to keep it from riding so hard between the battery strap and frame in the seat area, as well as from riding so hard against the inside top of the side cover. Regardless, without even riding it yet and only from the install process and connecting to the laptop for MAP tweaks and TPS calibration, the USB side corner / edge of the unit is flattened from rubbing the frame / side cover.
I am hoping this stops after a certain point, but I am still concerned with long term wear resulting in premature failure due to wearing a hole through the case, moisture, etc. Has anyone seen the same wear and can comment on long term use like this? I am debating on putting the fuzzy side of some 3M hook & loop tape on either the unit or the side cover to cushion things, but would prefer to just not worry about it if it's a non-issue.

Secondly, I'd be curious to see your MAP (if you care to share) from a stage-1 1200, specifically with Short Shots (standard baffles) and round style filter, (Figure Machine 5" here) whether it be canned, dyno, or auto-tuned. I'm just curious what a dyno or auto-tune MAP would look like, particularly in the timing tables, as it compares to my canned Dynojet / FM MAP.
