It depends on how often you ride. A battery that sits unused for long periods of time doesn't last. Ive got 6 years and 115,000 miles on my stock battery.
Crap shoot, IMO. I had a brand new 91 Firebird and the battery died after a few weeks. Dealer didn't believe me and tested the charging system. No issue. A month later, their new battery died. Tested again. No issues. Lasted several years after that.
Ford Excursion had 2 new batteries and lasted 6 years. Changed to some batteries from BatteryMart or one of them, not sure. Lasted 2 years and changed back to Motorcraft and it is going on 3 with no issues.
On my ATVs, I fire them up monthly and 1 stock one has died, the other is fine.
