48 speedo relocation with Autometer bracket.
but i agree, nothing wrong w/ the stock 48 speedo mount. it tucks in niceley
Too funny, I put the 48 speedo mount on my Iron. I like it better than the side mount.
However, I finally decided to uninstall it from my bike. Actually, I decided not to install any speedo or indicator light on my bike and save money to install a compact motogadget module in the near future.
For some reason, I didn't like the look of the relocated speedo at the front left side of the tank. I'm going for a coil relocation with a tank lift and wire tuck, so the relocated speedo ruins the "clean look" above the front cylinder. Due to the large tank, the speedo stays completely out of sight, so no reason for a non - visible gauge...
I have also installed mid glide triple trees (attention to 48 and new C owners). Doing so, the space between the left fork tube and the tank is significally reduced, when the front end is turned full left...especially if you have a large Custom's tank. So, installation on the tank bolt required a new bracket that would relocate the autometer clamp an inch or two backwards - not so practical.
