I ordered 1250 kit and ignition from nrhs. Dan said they should ship tomorrow. I know there are a lot of conversion threads but I like them and I will probly need help.
I ordered the cylinders in black and plan to paint the heads to match. I also want to paint all the covers gloss black with a chrome stripe around the rocker box covers. any idea how much a chrome job like that cost? I may just end up painting the stripe grey.
This post is mostly just to see if I can figure out how to post pictures from my tablet. Here is the before picture (hopefully).
I plan on doing mine in a few weeks, what type of ignition did you get? I plan on using the Ultima Programmable (which is a dyna 2Ki relabled). Are you planning on doing cams or anything? I am putting some Andrews N4's.
I decided to get started on the disassembly even though I didn't have a lot of time tonight. here are a couple of pictures. I disconnected the battery, drain the primary oil, disconnected the clutch cable, and then pulled some pork for dinner.
I got a little farther last night. remove the air filter, drained the oil, and pulled the pipies off. I also got the primary cover off. so far this job is not too hard.
