Default Taillight relocation

When removing the rear lights on an Iron 883, am I supposed to cut the wires to slide them through the outside piece of cosmetic trim or can the wires be removed from the end connector and re-installed?

Thanks

not sure, but if you do have to cut them, it's not that big a deal. I usually solder them back together and shrink wrap them to keep the resistance low and to save space.

The two wires can be removed from the connector that plugs in to the tail lamp. Use a pick or a paperclip to undo the keeper that holds the terminal in to the plastic part. Takes a few seconds is all.
