Most private sellers will not let you ride the bike without a "Cash" payment of the asking price. This could cause a problem in having the bike checked out.
I would sugges that when you find a bike you want at the price you are willing to pay, that you tell the seller you want them to ride it to where you want in checked. This way nobody is at risk - - the seller is protected and you do not need to post the cash in advance.
