Stage 1 would have been the first thing I would have did.
The Screamin' Eagles are fine, but you might want to check into the Rush mufflers. They feature interchangeable baffles so you can experiment with sound and back pressure without breaking the bank.
Good luck.
My parts have arrived. D&D Bobcat aluminum or chrome, whatever it is called with a freer flowing than the usual muffler with the NRHS AC. When it gets installed, I will be getting it tuned in the spring. Now, it is just a bunch of parts irritating me till I can get the bike out of storage and put them on. With the price I got for the D&D, $695 delivered, I didn't want to pass it up in case the price went up later on.
Parts looked pretty good quality but I don't know yet about how the install will go. I wish they had more pictures instead of just words.

My god. That's about what I spent on my stainless longtubes with mid-pipes for my V8. LOL.
I guess there are more V8s than Harleys. My TPIS Longtubes are currently about $825 from TPIS. Still, when you install them they fit right in. I believe I had some other brands which almost necessitated us removing the engine unless you hit that lucky spot which we did after a while. HOWEVER, when I want to change the plugs, I can do it all standing up. In my Firebird, you had to lay on the ground for the rearmost passenger ones and remove the starter. I guess it is worth it when you consider your future aggravation. Then I had to buy a cat to muffle the sound and the Borla Stingers which were more. Still, if you want to do it so you don't have to do it again, I suppose, you are going to have to be willing to pay. Probably why I will die broke.
LOL...didn't mean to criticize man. I think I have the only 4.6L F-150 (4x4 especially) with stainless LT's. Got OBX 5.4L Dynotech copies I had to mod and have TIG welded then massaged in place. It was awesome, but could have gone horribly wrong.

No you didn't. Sorry it didn't come across well but I was just musing. I didn't take it as an insult. Besides, if someone has a different point of view, it might be nice to hear their argument. If nothing else, for the next time you do the similar thing, you have that thought in your mind.
